Dreamer Hilario Yanez came to this country from Mexico at age 1, brought here by his mother. And while media likes to paint Dreamers all with the same brush, Yanez most certainly breaks their stereotype. Yanez praises President Donald Trump’s leadership on immigration and says that Democrats are treating Dreamers as “pawns.”
He was interviewed on Fox. He said he believed that Trump showed courage to tackle the illegal immigration issue.
From Daily Caller:
“At the end of the day, here’s a guy who wants to provide a pathway to citizenship for myself and, you know, really make a difference in my life,” Yanez said of President Trump. “I’m for that. Also, I believe we need to have border security so this doesn’t happen again.”
“And if a wall is necessary to provide another layer for border security to do their job in a safe and responsible manner, then, you know, I think it’s necessary to fund it,” he continued. “The diversity lottery — I think it’s outdated, I think it’s time for people who want to come to the United States to focus on skills so they can contribute to the American economy.”
Yanez said he found Democrats frustrating because they just wanted to use the Dreamers for political reasons.
“The Democratic leadership, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, really have no clear message,” he argued. “We have been confused, I think at the end of the day they have been using us as pawns.”
“We should have never shut down the government over DACA. We should have never held our American people and our military hostage,” he said, noting that Democrats opted not to solve the DACA problem when they had control of Congress.
He said he believed there is plenty of time to address the issue before the March 5th deadline.
Yanez was proud to be here and said he would “do anything to serve this country.”
From Fox News Insider:
Yanez said he gets “goosebumps” when he hears the “Star-Spangled Banner” and said he would never take a knee like some athletes have, and declared a willingness to serve in the armed forces if asked.
He gets the importance of the wall and he shows he’s actually thinking about what’s in the best interests of America when he brings up the diversity lottery and why it’s “outdated.”
It stands to reason that you wouldn’t see Dreamers like Hilario Yanez featured in liberal media.
Because they most definitely fly in the face of the narrative.
