You would think that liberals would be able to put politics aside during the moments immediately following mass shootings like the one that happened recently in Florida. You would think that they would at least wait for the smoke to clear before they started lecturing Americans about gun control.
Nope. They just can’t do it. In fact, liberals couldn’t even let President Trump visit the victims without criticizing him. It was one of the most despicable displays of partisanship we have seen in a while.
From The Daily Caller:
The Washington Post wrote a critical piece about the visit titled “In brief Florida Stop, Trump focuses on praising first responders.” The piece takes aim at Trump for praising and congratulating the hospital staff and first responders instead of grieving with families of pushing for gun law reform.
You know the liberal left is in trouble when they can’t even let Trump visit the victims of the worst school shooting in American history without giving him grief. You just can’t reason with people like that.
Sarah Sanders wasn’t too thrilled about the Washington Post’s smear so she let them know it.
Gotta love Sarah.
We all know that the media would have gotten mad at Trump no matter what he did. If he had posted pictures of himself with the victims the media would have accused him of exploiting them. He can’t win and Sarah Sanders knows it.
If you were a survivor of that shooting and the president showed up to your hospital room you’d think that’s something that would go beyond politics. It’s a powerful gesture and it really shows you that Trump is taking this seriously.
Here’s what actually happened at the hospital.
From Fox News:
President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump visited Broward Health North Hospital in Florida on Friday night to pay respects to survivors and medical professionals involved in this week’s school shooting massacre.
The president and first lady flew from Washington to Florida on Friday afternoon. “Incredible recovery,” Trump said while at the hospital. “Incredible. And first responders. Everybody. The job they’ve done is incredible.”
After visiting the hospital, the president and first lady met with law enforcement at the Broward County Sheriff’s office.
You have to be a really delusional person to be upset about something like this.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families involved in this tragedy.
