The far-left mainstream media is too preoccupied with repealing the rights of law-abiding Americans to give much thought to what’s really going on in the world.
For example, we don’t hear as much about ISIS as we used to.
Why is that?
Could it be because President Trump’s administration is taking them all out? Isn’t that kind of a big deal?
Check this out…
From Daily Caller:
President Trump has directed the U.S. military to rain Hell on ISIS in Iraq and Syria. According to officials from Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve, during the two-week period between March 16 and March 29, U.S. and coalition forces launched 25 separate strikes against ISIS.
The fighting in Syria remains centered around Abu Kamal, a small town near the Syrian-Iraqi border. Coalition forces working as part of Operation Inherent Resolve reported destroying several ISIS targets, including buildings, tunnel systems, tactical units, fighting positions and weapons caches. In the same area, U.S. forces also destroyed an ISIS Vehicle Bourne Improvised Explosive Device factory.
The fighting in Iraq remains dispersed over several parts of the country. There were several strikes near Hawijah, Qayyarah and Ramadi over the two week period. U.S. and coalition forces reportedly destroyed ISIS boats, tactical units, vehicles, storage facilities and an ISIS-held cave complex.
The U.S. Air Force may soon play less of a roll in the fight in Iraq. During a press briefing earlier this week, Air Force Brig. Gen. Andrew A. Croft gave details of the new training program being introduced to Iraqi Air Force pilots.
It’s more of a mop-up operation now, one that now one could envision an end to, at least on the military field.
Speaking in Ohio Thursday, Trump boasted that U.S. is winning its battle against the Islamic State terrorist group, and vowed that once the fight is finished, American troops will leave Syria. The Pentagon has acknowledged a presence of about 2,000 troops in Syria, many of them Special Forces working closely with Kurdish and Arab militias against ISIS, which has lost nearly all its captured territory in the country over the past year.
“We’re knocking the hell out of ISIS. We’ll be coming out of Syria, like, very soon,” the president said during an event in Ohio.
And while he wouldn’t be giving any definitive deadlines or leaving a big hole for terrorists to fill, things that he criticized former President Barack Obama for, it’s heartening for our troops that there may be an end in sight.
How big a change it is to have a president who isn’t afraid to win.
