Once again we see that the nation’s college students are morally outraged about something but when asked about the particulars they can’t explain any of the facts in the case. This time a video shows college students outraged that a Christian baker doesn’t have to bake a cake for a gay couple, yet when asked if a black person should make a KKK cake, they suddenly think people have “rights” to refuse.
Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of bakery owner in Colorado who didn’t want to make a cake against his Christian principles for a gay wedding. The case didn’t actually decide the greater issue of the case but held that the baker had been discriminated against by the local civil commision that decided against him. With that ruling in the offing, the cameras of Campus Reform went to George Washington University in Washington, D.C. to see what the students there thought of the ruling.
Unsurprisingly, the ideologically propagandized students were all against the Christian baker and thought he was a terrible person for allowing his religious principles to stop him from making the wedding cake for a gay couple.
A typical response was when one student said, “If his job is to bake a cake for a wedding, even if he doesn’t agree with it, he should still have to do it.”
“His ability to exercise his freedom of religion ends when that infringes on another person’s ability to be who they are,” another said.
Of course, all that is nonsense. But the real test came when the Campus Reform folks asked these same constitutionally illiterate kids what they thought of a black baker who would refuse to bake a cake for the Ku Klux Klan.
Suddenly these idiot kids were all about letting someone deny someone access to their services.
Yet, they had no idea why their automatic desire to penalize a Christian but not any minority made any sense at all.
Later in the video, some had a tiny inkling about the ruling.
Still, the fact that these students were so quick to say that the Christian baker was a hater for refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding shows how American students have been indoctrinated to respond with Pavlovian reflexes against anything that is straight, white, male or Christian. They don’t have actual core beliefs, they are just told to automatically hate all white, male, Christians. They don’t know why and can’t explain their hate in a greater context, but they are sure they hate Christians.
It was, however, pretty funny to see their faces as they realized that their ideas didn’t make any sense at all.
