David Hogg has made it clear since the Parkland shooting that he isn’t interested in moving the gun control conversation forward in a constructive way. He just wants to bash conservatives and do everything he can to make it harder for law-abiding citizens to get guns.
Hogg hasn’t proposed a single feasible idea that would have stopped any of these school shootings and he’s not going to because he doesn’t have any.
Instead, he’s going to stage “die-ins” at grocery stores and try to drive politicians he doesn’t agree with out of office.
Back in April, Hogg tried to get a mayor in Maine fired.
A recall effort, inspired by Hogg, was launched after the mayor tweeted the following.
This week, voters rejected that recall effort. The mayor is safe from rabid political correctness.
From NBC Philadelphia:
Voters in a central Maine city have decided not to recall a mayor who came under criticism after using social media to tell one of the survivors of a Florida school shooting to “Eat it.”
Waterville Mayor Nick Isgro faced the recall vote on Tuesday. He directed the April tweet at David Hogg, one of the survivors of a shooting that killed 17 students at a Parkland, Florida, high school.
Hogg is an advocate for strengthening gun laws. Isgro was tweeting in response to a Fox News decision to stand behind pro-gun rights commentator Laura Ingraham in the wake of an advertiser boycott.
From The Daily Caller:
With a 91-vote margin, voters decided not to recall Isgro, who was re-elected Mayor of Waterville in November after serving a three-year term, reported CentralMaine.com.
Isgro faced criticism for a tweet he posted in April telling David Hogg “Eat it, Hogg.” The now-deleted was in response to Fox News’ defense of conservative host Laura Ingraham.
The series of events began when Ingraham retweeted and commented on an article in March mocking Hogg for whining about getting rejected from multiple colleges. Hogg retaliated by teaming up with progressive activist group Media Matters to boycott Ingraham’s sponsors.
Good news for sane people. Bad news for Democrats.
